Αγαπητοί φίλοι και φίλες επισκέπτες είμαι στην ευχάριστη θέση να σας ανακοινώσω ότι μια νέα ιστοσελίδα γεννήθηκε. Andorra set to legalise gambling

Andorra has taken a step towards legalising gambling after the country’s legislative committee completed a draft bill intended to regulate the industry in the country. The approximate 85,000 population in the small European nation is currently unable to access online or land-based gambling facilities, but the bill is set to change this by permitting one external operator to set up a casino. Isle of Man introduces duty relief for gambling companies

The Isle of Man has offered Double Duty Relief to its 56 licensed gambling operators following the introduction of the UK’s Place of Consumption Tax.The changes, which are effective immediately, allow companies to claim relief up to a monetary maximum equivalent to the amount of gambling duty that would have been paid to the Isle of Man Treasury on the same activity.It is estimated that 13% of the Isle of Man’s economy is related to gambling.Peter Greenhill, chief executive for e-Gaming development with the Isle of Man Department of Economic Development, said: “We recognise the burden that the new UK tax will place on our licensed operators...

More than third of betting machine players experience problems with gambling

More than a third of people playing high-speed, high-stakes betting machines experience problems with their gambling, according to industry-funded research released on Wednesday. Gambling ad promising ‘100% certain’ success banned

An online ad for a get-rich-quick scheme that promised “100% certain” success at winning £50,000 a year has been banned by the regulator. The ad on the website streetwisenews.com/50k claimed “George” had discovered how to win £980 a week, £50,000 a year or “as much money as he wants, whenever he likes”. Η EGBA ζητά παρέμβαση της Κομισιόν μετά τις δηλώσεις Ζίγκλερ

Czech Republic to fight gambling as illegal drug

The Czech Republic is to begin fighting gambling as an illegal drug under national government-approved changes to the country’s strategy in the anti-drug policy. According to the ČTK Czech news agency, national anti-drug coordinator Jindřich Vobořil said that the strategy will now include the measures to restrain access to gambling, as well as alcohol, in order to lower their impact. A total of 41 professional football players, coaches and directors have been named in a match-fixing investigation in Spain. Betfair Australia owner takes controlling stake in BetEasy joint venture
