Bulgaria, Latvia and Hungary have added more online gambling sites to their growing blacklist.
First up is Bulgaria. The Bulgarian State Commission on Gambling released a statement identifying 10 new online gambling sites to their blacklist, including two sites—Bet-mart.com and SB-488.com—belonging to Bet365. The inclusion of these two sites to the blacklist now brings the overall total of blacklisted Bet365 domains to 18.
Sportingbet also received the latest Bulgarian hammer when its two domains— Bg.sportingbet777.com and Bg.sportingbetpoker.com—ended up on the Commission’s latest list. Other sites affected include Primajuego.com, Championsbet.net, 7epta7.com, Redkings.com, Grandparker.com and Luckyredcasino.com.
Today’s blacklist around Europe now takes us to Hungary. The Hungarian Gambling Supervision Department just added seven PokerStars domain names to its blacklist, including PokerStars.com, PokerStars.eu, PokerStars.hu, and Greek, Polish, Romanian, and Swedish websites of the poker room. Full Tilt Poker wasn’t mentioned in the latest blacklist.
A representative of PokerStars told PokerNews that the company is monitoring the regulatory developments in Hungary “very closely” with the hope that “changes may be underway.”
“We are currently in conversations with the relevant parties regarding the ISP issue and will provide updates if we have additional guidance or information,” the Stars representative added.
We now head to Latvia, a country that has turned into the harbinger of doom and gloom for a lot of online gambling sites and their respective domains. Some big operators, including Gala Coral and Betclic, have become the latest names added to a sweeping blacklist by the Latvian Lotteries and Gambling Supervision Inspection (IAUI). This is the list’s fifth update since the IAUI published the first list of names a little over six weeks ago.
Gala Coral saw three of its domains blacklisted, including Coral.co.uk, Galabingo.com, and Galacasino.com, joining Betclic.com and a host of other domains in the banned-to-do-business in Latvia list.
Latvia’s latest blacklist also includes Digibet.com, Interwetten.com, Betin.com, Cherrycasino.com, Neoplay.com, Alibabacasino.com, 21nova.com, Maria.com, LV.unibet-3.com, Betatcasino.com, Kingplayer.com, Superlenny.com, Maxcasino.com, Greencasino.com, Crystalcasino.com, Icecasino.com, 24hcasino.com and 24hpoker.com.
Since the launch of the first batch of blacklisted online gambling sites on August, there are now 144 online domains that have been deemed illegal to operate in the country.
