As reported by iGaming Business, the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) last month opted to suspend 666Bet’s licence on an interim basis in order to review the operator’s status.
The move has not only stopped 666Bet from operating in the UK market, but has also left customers of the operator unable to withdraw their personal funds.
The operator last week said in a statement that customers would be paid once its operations had been approved by the UKGC and it was doing “all it can” to return customers funds.
Despite the statement, customers have been openly critical about the lack of communication they have received from 666Bet and have launched a petition on campaign website Change.org in an effort to speed up the withdrawal process.
Entitled ‘Give Us Our Money Back’, the online petition states that some customers are owed as must as £60,000 (€83,000/$88,000) by the operator.
Customers that have signed up to the petition also claim that earlier attempts to withdraw funds from 666Bet were reversed.
The online petition states: “Thousands of people are owed money by this thieving company.
“People have been denied the opportunity to withdraw money. Withdrawals have been reversed.
“They have stolen our money and they think they can get away with it.
“Money for individuals ranging from £5 to £60k is being withheld.
“Spread the word. Spread the awareness. We demand our money back. Now.”
