Intralot extends co-operation deal with Lotterywest

Greek-owned gaming and lottery operator Intralot has agreed a three-year extension to its deal with the Lotteries Commission of Western Australia (Lotterywest) through to 2019.

Under the deal, which includes the option of two separate one-year additional extensions, Intralot will continue to provide technology and related services to Lotterywest.

The amended contract includes the upgrade of Intralot’s LOTOS flagship central system and the provision of the new version of its B-On interactive platform, in addition to the Horizon interactive multimedia platform.

In addition, Lotterywest’s ongoing retail transformation project will see the deployment of Intralot’s Photon and Genion retailers’ terminals, as well as its Gablet self-service device.

Intralot will also provide Lotterywest with Mobile Lottery, a new patent-pending interactive solution that has been developed for native iOS and Android mobile and tablet devices.
“The team at Lotterywest are delighted to have come to this agreement to extend our existing contract with Intralot,” Lotterywest chief executive officer Jan Stewart said.
“They have been a valued business partner and we look forward to this very positive arrangement continuing over the years ahead.
“We are confident that the technology and other expertise that Intralot have offered us will contribute to the success of this important retail transformation project which we have undertaken.”

Antonis Markopoulos, Intralot’s group managing director of Oceania, added: “Intralot will continue to maintain and support Lotterywest’s very successful operation and assist to their breakthrough retail transformation project.

“Intralot’s innovative solutions will help the lottery meet its goals to provide new experience to their retailers, deliver exciting gaming experiences to its players, reach a younger ‘mobile’ generation, and increase its social contribution to the local community.”
